At Blue Planet Systems, I contributed to the advancement of carbon-negative concrete production by helping automate processes that mineralize captured CO₂ into synthetic limestone. The company’s mission is to reduce atmospheric carbon by transforming industrial waste and reclaimed concrete into sustainable building materials.
I worked on process automation and control for the company’s reformation pilot line, focusing on integrating a centralized HMI/PLC control system used to coordinate pumps, conveyors, and fluid-handling subsystems. Using Siemens S7-1200 PLCs and Variable Frequency Drives, I created a unified operator interface that streamlined flow control and process monitoring, improving safety and efficiency. I also contributed to daily pilot-plant operations, optimizing process parameters and supporting data collection for system calibration and scale-up.
Through these experiences I expanded my skills in process control and industrial automation. I am always happy to discuss my role and technical contributions further.
