Jonas Plichta

I’m a fourth-year Mechanical Engineering student at UC Berkeley with a focus on UAVs and aerospace vehicle design. I’m drawn to projects that blend creative design, analytical rigor, and hands-on prototyping to push the boundaries of what small teams can build together. Whether it’s developing adaptive landing gear for drones or optimizing airfoil performance through CFD, I enjoy transforming ideas into working systems.

Outside of engineering, I spend most of my time outdoors. I love backpacking, gardening, and playing soccer with friends. My most recent joy is my new 3d printer, which I have been using nonstop as of late.
